Golf at the award-winning course at the House on the
Rock Resort (formerly known as the Springs Resort) (www.thehouseontherock.com/HOTR_GolfMain.htm)
($79). Sign up individually or, if
you have a foursome, let us know who they are. 2.
Canoe on the beautiful Note: Golf &
Canoe happen at the same time so each person can only do one or the other. Lodging Lodging
is up to you. If you want a regular
bed I hope you’ve already made reservations (if not, do it now!).
The bunkhouse at Hilltop ($15/person/night) gets you access to the
bathroom & shower (bring your own bedding).
Pitch a tent at Hilltop ($15/tent/night), which also gives you access to
the bathroom & showers (bring your own bedding & tent). Socializing
(that’s why we’re here, after all) We
have Hilltop (Aunt Mary’s farm) for the whole weekend and there will always be
someone there to hang out with, talk to, and reminisce with.
We hope this will be a common meeting ground so nobody feels isolated in
their motel room because they think they don’t know anyone. Merchandise We
will have t-shirts available for purchase, as well as books by and about the
family (learn about your history!), a newly updated genealogy (learn how
you’re related to all these people), and who knows what else?! Theatre We
would love to encourage enough people to come early or stay late (there is SO
much to see & do around here!) to see a play at American Players Theatre.
Our chances would be Wednesday or Thursday night (show starts at 7:30) or
Sunday (6:00). If we have enough
people we can get a group discount on tickets.
We should know in early February what shows will be on so let me know if
you’re interested and I’ll contact you when we know more. If
you would like, you can make a tax-deductible contribution to allow others to
come. If the cost is a little out of
your reach we have opportunities to work off some of the registration fee by
helping out (mostly with meals but probably other things too).
We’re just trying to cover costs here, not make a profit and it’s
much more important for you to just to be
here! If
you have ANY questions - if you can’t find a motel room, if you can only come
for part of the weekend, if you want to work off the fees, if you want to
volunteer to do something specific - do not hesitate to call, write, email,
carrier pigeon… And
do it NOW!! Mary
